ABOUT US
There are 3 research centers in Ventspils University College: Engineering Research center, Ventspils International radioastronomy center and Center of applied linguistics.
Research Engineering Centre at Ventspils University College was founded on the 1st September 2005. It was established in the framework of EU Phare fund project “Latvian Electronics and Electrical Engineering Sector Development Project”, which was implemented by Ventspils City Council. The Centre is founded as a scientific institute of Ventspils University College’s Faculty of IT.
Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Center has been founded in 1994. In 2005 VIRAC as a department of Ventspils University College was registered in the register of scientific institutions of the republic of Latvia.
Center of applied linguistics has been founded as scientific institute of the faculty of translation in 2007.
